Samsung Electronics Co. announced on Friday the launch of a new "Bespoke AI Family Hub" refrigerator, designed to offer new AI experiences in everyday life.
The new model maintains the core AI and cooling features of the premium Bespoke AI Family Hub refrigerator while enhancing food storage capabilities.
Although it retains the same exterior as previous models, it now offers an expanded storage capacity of 861 liters, 19 liters more than before, allowing for more food storage. It also features a "long vegetable storage compartment" for easy storage of vegetables.
In addition, the refrigerator is equipped with a powerful "UV Deodorizing Purifier" that sterilizes attached bacteria and eliminates odors inside the refrigerator.
The 2024 model of the Bespoke AI Family Hub includes an "AI Vision Inside" feature, which uses an internal camera to automatically recognize and create a list of food items placed on and removed from the shelves.
Moreover, the touch screen on the right refrigerator door allows users to access apps and smart home features, such as Google Photos, Samsung TV Plus and YouTube, even while cooking.
The new model has received a Grade 2 energy efficiency rating, and energy consumption can be reduced by up to 23% when the AI Saving Mode Level 2 is set in SmartThings.
