Samsung Electronics Co. announced on Wednesday that it achieved the number one sales position in the global OLED monitor market one year after entering.
According to International Data Corporation (IDC), Samsung captured 34.7% in revenue and 28.3% in volume in this rapidly growing sector last year.
The company continued its five-year reign as the leader in the gaming monitor market, holding a 20.8% revenue share.
Samsung's initial foray into OLED began with the launch of the 34-inch Odyssey OLED G8 in October 2022, followed by the 49-inch Odyssey OLED G9, targeting high-growth sectors aggressively.
At CES 2024 earlier this year, the company expanded its OLED offerings, including the award-winning Odyssey OLED G9, which clinched an Innovation Award in the computer peripherals and accessories category.
Samsung plans to release new models including the 32-inch 4K Odyssey OLED G, the 27-inch QHD Odyssey OLED G6, and the updated 2024 Odyssey OLED G9.
