LG Electronics unveils UltraGear OLED gaming monitors

LG Electronics Inc. announced on Monday that it unveiled LG UltraGear gaming monitors that can switch resolution and refresh rate according to content.

The company released five new models of LG UltraGear organic light emitting diode (OLED) gaming monitors (model names: 32GS95UE; 39, 34, and 27GS95QE; and 45GS96QB).

The 32GS95UE has received certification from The Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) for a dual mode that allows switching between high refresh rate mode (FHD∙480 Hz) and high-resolution mode (4K∙240 Hz) on a single monitor.

Users can switch between high refresh rate and high-resolution modes by pressing a dedicated button at the bottom of the monitor.

For example, the high refresh rate mode allows seamless gaming of fast-paced racing games, while the high-resolution mode can be used for high-quality games or videos.

This is the first LG monitor to incorporate Pixel Sound Technology, where a film component applied to the panel vibrates to produce sound directly in the user's direction in front of the screen, unlike monitors that combine side or rear speakers.

In addition to gaming-related convenience features such as VESA Adaptive Sync technology, which synchronizes the graphics card and monitor refresh rate.

It also supports gaming features such as G-Sync Compatible and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.
