Galaxy S24 Ultra named top phone in US

Samsung Electronics Co. 's latest flagship AI phone model the Galaxy S24 Ultra has secured the top position in the smartphone evaluation by the US Consumer Reports.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra achieved a total score of 87 points, surpassing the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which scored 86 points, to claim the first position.

The Galaxy S24+ also secured third place with a total score of 85 points.

Last year's release, the Galaxy S23 Ultra, earned a total score of 84 points, placing it fourth. Notably, Samsung Galaxy smartphones occupied three out of the top five positions.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra received an Excellent rating, the highest possible, in most of Consumer Reports' ten evaluation categories; Predicted Reliability, Owner Satisfaction, Camera's Rear image quality, Display, Durability, Performance, Sound, Ease of Use, and Calling.

Consumer Reports described the Galaxy S24 Ultra as a "fantastic option for most consumers seeking premium features."

Consumer Reports highlighted the device's outstanding features, such as a brighter display, improved processor and camera, enhanced battery life, and praised the Galaxy AI, which includes features like Real-time Translation, Circle to Search, and AI Editing.

It commended Galaxy AI as practical and highly impressive.

Consumer Reports formulates these rankings based on a combination of consumer surveys and independent testing. The surveyed consumers are actual users of the appliances and other products sold in the US.
