Samsung Bespoke AI Combo sells 1,000 units in three days

Samsung Electronics Co. 's the Bespoke AI Washer & Dryer Combo surpassed 1,000 units sold in three days, Feb. 24 to 26.  

The Bespoke AI Combo combines a 25kg capacity drum washer with a 15kg capacity inverter heat pump dryer into a single unit, eliminating the need to move laundry between washing and drying.

The Bespoke AI Washer & Dryer Combo eliminates the hassle of transferring laundry from a washer to a dryer and completes the load in one step. The model, which combines a 25-kilogram (kg) washing capacity with a 13-kg heat pump drying capability, allows users to save space by up to 40% in their homes, compared with a vertically installed front-load laundry pair.

The model features a function customized by artificial intelligence AI Hub, which handles laundry depending on the weight, fabric, and soil level. AI Hub is based on a high-performance chip and Tizen OS.

It also allows for a 40% reduction in installation space compared to installing separate washers and dryers. It is even capable of washing king-size comforters.

Despite being an integrated unit, it achieves dryer-level drying performance based on a high-efficiency inverter heat pump, capable of washing and drying up to 3kg of laundry, equivalent to about 17 shirts, in just 99 minutes.

It features a 7-inch wide touchscreen for operating washing and drying functions and supports using multimedia and controlling smart devices connected via SmartThings, Samsung's smart home platform.

Voice recognition of Bixby, Samsung's virtual assistant, adds further convenience.
