Samsung Electronics opens gaming-focused shopping platform

South Korea's Samsung Electronics Co. announced on Monday that it has opened the Samsung Gaming Portal on its domestic website Samsung.com to strengthen its competitiveness in gaming-related products and services.

The Samsung Gaming Portal is an all-in-one shopping platform where users can not only purchase gaming items such as smartphones, TVs, gaming monitors, personal computers, headsets, and high-performance SSDs but also easily access gaming product information, expert reviews from domestic and international sources, purchase benefits and event announcements and gaming-related news.

In particular, users can find and purchase Samsung Electronics' representative gaming products, such as the Galaxy S23 Ultra optimized for mobile gaming, the Neo QLED that allows cloud gaming without a separate console device, and the Odyssey OLED G9 gaming monitor, all at a glance.

To celebrate the opening of the gaming portal, the company is offering discounts of up to 45% on selected gaming devices compared to the regular prices until July 31. Additionally, for those who purchase two or more eligible items during the event period, an additional discount of up to 200,000 won ($153) will be provided on one item.

"We will make various efforts to provide an environment where customers can purchase gaming-related products in more enjoyable and convenient ways, and enjoy a differentiated gaming experience throughout the entire process from purchase to use," Kim Sung-wook, Samsung Electronics's Vice President in charge of general affairs in Korea.

Earlier on Jun. 30, Samsung Electronics opened gaming portals in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany and other countries. The company plans to expand the portals to around 30 countries, including Australia, Singapore, Vietnam, Canada and Mexico in the future.
