LG Electronics targets EdTech market in US

LG Electronics Inc. is showcasing a lineup of acclaimed products designed for the education sector at the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Conference & Expo 2023, held in Philadelphia, the US from June 25 to Wednesday.

The products include electronic whiteboards capable of supporting up to 40 multi-touch points, portable displays known as One:Quick that are ideal for remote learning and group discussions, LED all-in-one signage suitable for auditoriums, CLOi Guidebot which can be programmed using coding languages, ProBeam projectors with 4K resolution support, as well as Ultra Tab tablet PCs and Chromebooks tailored for educational purposes.

Through these offerings, LG Electronics aims to showcase how the integration of various information technology (IT) devices can enhance educational solutions.

Within the coding zone featured at ISTE, LG Electronics, in collaboration with South Korean robotics company Luxrobo, will demonstrate the seamless operation of the CLOi Guidebot. Teachers will have the opportunity to directly control the educational robot using block coding on Chromebooks, while students can manipulate the mini robot by adjusting the joystick on the CLOi Guidebot.

Market research firm HolonIQ predicts that the EdTech market will experience significant growth, with an average annual rate of 16.3%. The market is expected to expand from $300 billion in 2020 to $404 billion by 2025, presenting a lucrative opportunity for companies like LG Electronics to make their mark in the sector.
