Samsung Electronics co. has received a total of 80 awards, including one gold award, in 2023 iF Design Awards, an international design competition held in Germany. The company won the highest number of awards ever, surpassing last year's record of 71.

The iF Design Awards, which began in 1953 and are organized by Germany's International Forum Design, are one of the three major design awards in the world, evaluating design differentiation and influence in nine categories, including product, package, communication, concept, interior, architecture, service design, user experience and user interface.

Samsung won 32 awards in the product category, 35 in the UX/UI category, 11 in the concept category, one in the communication category and one in the package category, including the gold award-winning "Bespoke Infinite Line."

The Bespoke Infinite Line is a combination of kitchen appliances consisting of a refrigerator, wine cellar, oven and hood, offering a cohesive design with a premium lifestyle sensibility using distinctive materials such as aluminum, stainless steel and ceramic.

The refrigerator in the Bespoke Infinite Line maximizes customer experience with convenient features such as an "Auto Open Door" that allows easy door opening by simply touching the sensor without a handle, and an "Auto Dual Ice Maker" that enables one to enjoy ice tailored to taste or purpose.

In addition, the next-generation gaming screen "Odyssey Ark," which allows users to adjust the screen size and ratio to their liking, the "Galaxy Z Flip4 Bespoke Edition," which allows the front and back covers to be combined in up to 75 different ways according to personal preferences and the "Bespoke Jet" wireless vacuum cleaner also received awards.

"It is important to design meaningful experiences that combine changing customer values and innovative technologies," said Roh Tae-moon, head of Samsung Electronics' Design Management Center, adding, "we will strive to contribute to our customers' lives and society with better designs for everyone."
