Hyundai Elevator, ERBUD forge partnership for Ukraine's rebuilding efforts

South Korea's Hyundai Elevator Co. signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with ERBUD, a leading Polish construction company, on November 28, in Warsaw, Poland.

The MOU aims for comprehensive cooperation in the reconstruction of Ukraine.

The MOU signing ceremony was attended by Cho Cheol-ho, head of Hyundai Elevator's overseas sales division 2, and Jacek Leczkowski, vice president of ERBUD's construction division.

ERBUD is a Polish company specializing in commercial and residential construction. The two companies plan to cooperate in entering Ukraine's reconstruction project in the future.

Post-war reconstruction projects are crucial for rapid recovery, and Hyundai Elevator is applying its modular elevator solution, which is under development, and considering humanitarian elevator support for public facilities such as schools.

"I am pleased to sign this agreement with Hyundai Elevator, the top elevator company in South Korea. I expect it to be a cornerstone in building trust for business cooperation between our companies," said ERBUD's Leczkowski.

Poland, bordering Ukraine to the east and with a population of 41 million, has been actively supporting the Ukrainian government since the outbreak of the Ukraine-Russia war. It borders Germany and the Czech Republic to the southwest and is expected to serve as a bridgehead for Hyundai Elevator's entry into the European market.

"Our company values gaining trust more than selling products, and we hope Hyundai's corporate spirit will pave the way for cooperation in Poland and Ukraine," said Cho of Hyundai Elevator.

Hyundai Elevator, with operations in China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia and Turkey, is pursuing a global expansion strategy. Aiming to achieve 50% of its sales overseas by 2030, the company currently operates dealerships in 61 countries globally.
