South Korea's HD Hyundai Co. announced on Tuesday that it has signed a business agreement with POSCO Group for the development of unmanned technology in resource development and construction sites.
Under the terms of this agreement, they will develop technology for unmanned construction equipment using remote control and promote commercialization through domestic demonstrations. They also plan to develop an integrated control platform to effectively manage construction equipment and site construction and process plans.
HD Hyundai, along with its subsidiaries HD Hyundai XiteSolution, HD Hyundai Construction Equipment Co. and HD Hyundai Infracore Co., will work together to develop unmanned technology equipment required for resource development and construction sites based on smart and unmanned technology for construction equipment.
POSCO Holdings Inc., meanwhile, will cooperate with POSCO E&C and POSCO DX Co. to establish an integrated control system and communication facilities required on-site based on construction and operation know-how and big data in resource development and construction sites.
