South Korea’s Heerim Architects & Planners announced on Friday that it has been awarded a project management consultant (PMC) contract worth 14 billion won ($10.9 million) by the Cambodia Airports Investment Company (CAIC) for the Phnom Penh New Airport.

Heerim was previously awarded the PMC services for the construction of the Phnom Penh New Airport in October 2019 and performed PMC duties for 43 months until last May, and this is an extension of the contract.

The additional contract brings the total contract value of the project to 41 billion won.

Under the contract, Heerim will provide construction supervision, project cost management, schedule management, quality management, design management and safety management for the ongoing construction of the Phnom Penh New Airport until October next year.

Phnom Penh New Airport is expected to be completed by the end of next year.

"We will support the successful opening of the Phnom Penh New Airport to further enhance the status of airport construction in Korea and contribute to the national interest through joint ventures with Korean companies," said a Heerim official.
