Kolon Global secures patent for Kankan Smart Space technology

South Korea's construction engineering company Kolon Global Corp. said on Monday that it has obtained a technology patent for the multi-purpose system wall structure of its strategic product "Kankan Smart Space."

The wall structure of the multi-purpose system is based on the principle of building variable walls by fixing vertical pillars connecting the ceiling and floor, and by combining shelves.

In this way, various furniture pieces such as decorative cabinets, bookshelves, and dressing rooms can be attached.

In August last year, Kankan Smart Space won the main prize in the Brands & Communication Design category of the Red Dot Design Award 2022, one of the world's top-three design awards.
