South Korea's CJ Group announced on Wednesday that it will undertake a "Second Girls Education Project" for the Vietnamese ethnic minority.

The project will be carried out in Ninh Thuan Province, Cao Bang Province and Kon Tum Province for the next two years.

CJ will support $250,000 (327 million won) from the funds raised through the CJ-UNESCO Girl Education Campaign to run programs to enhance teacher capacity.

CJ has been sponsoring this program since 2019 for the first time to improve educational access and expand employment opportunities for women among Vietnamese ethnic minorities.

Through the first project, it was found that the middle school enrollment rate of ethnic minority students in Vietnam increased by about 8 percentage points and the high school enrollment rate increased by more than 10 percentage points.
