Vivid Health, a South Korean startup that operates an obesity treatment management platform announced on Wednesday that it got a seed round investment from Kakao Ventures.
It was praised for capturing the latent demand in the growing obesity treatment market by addressing the challenges faced by people before and after using medication.
Vivid Health plans to officially launch its app in April to facilitate quality information sharing among users.
This is a social diet app specialized for obesity treatment users, providing tailored information and allowing users to share their weight management journeys.
It offers user reviews on side effects, satisfaction, and effectiveness of appetite suppressants and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) series obesity treatments.
Users with similar gender, body mass index (BMI) and lifestyle patterns can engage in exercise and diet management together.
Vivid Health plans to develop a pharmacovigilance system that analyzes data on medication side effects and adverse reactions occurring after the sale of obesity treatments.
This system aims to detect safety issues that were unpredictable before market release.
