South Korea's KB Kookmin Bank opens branches in Chennai and Pune, major economic hubs in India on October 21.
KB Kookmin Bank will expand its network in India, a market with significant growth potential.
The new openings come just four months after receiving final approval from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in June.
Chennai is the center of commercial and manufacturing industries in southern India.
Pune is the hub of advanced technologies like IT and biotechnology and is home to numerous South Korean and global corporations.
The new branches will offer services, such as loans, deposits, trade finance, and personal and digital banking.
KB Kookmin Bank aims to provide tailored financial solutions reflecting regional market characteristics, working with its Gurugram branch.
The bank said it will continue expanding its portfolio in India by offering products and services in areas such as investment banking and supply chain finance to meet local demand.
