Hana Financial Group announced on Thursday that it opened the Monterrey Office, the first business channel of Hana Bank Mexico, in Monterrey, Mexico, two days ago.
Monterrey, located near the US border, is considered a major industrial city in northeastern Mexico.
Hana Financial Group stated that with the opening of this office, corporate clients such as South Korean auto parts companies operating near Monterrey, as well as expatriates and local customers, will now have easier access to the financial products and services of Hana Bank Mexico.
"Since entering Mexico in 2019, Hana Financial has been working to diversify the group's portfolio while contributing to the development of Mexico's economy and financial system, and becoming a partner that supports the growth of local communities and customers," said Lee Eun-Hyeong, Vice Chairman of Hana Financial Group, who attended the office opening ceremony.
"Through the Monterrey office, we hope local customers can receive differentiated financial services closer to home and experience new growth opportunities," added the Vice Chairman.
To commemorate the opening of the Monterrey office, Hana Financial Group donated 200 scientific calculators to students at the Mexican charity institution "Escuela Villa de las Niñas Chalco."
