The number of subscribers to its overseas payment-specialized card Travlog has surpassed 6 million.
According to the Credit Finance Association on Thursday, the total amount spent on overseas debit cards by individual members of the eight major card companies (Shinhan, KB Kookmin, Hyundai, Samsung, Lotte, Hana, Woori, and BC) from the beginning of the year to July amounted to 2.82 trillion won ($2.11 billion).
During this period, Hana Card's overseas debit card spending reached 1.41 trillion won, accounting for a 49.9% market share.
Since January last year, Hana Card has held the top spot in the overseas debit card market for 19 consecutive months.
The growth rate has also been remarkable, with market shares of 19.2% in 2021, 25.4% in 2022, and 38.4% in 2023.
