Samsung Securities Co., the brokerage unit of South Korea’s top conglomerate Samsung Group, suffered system errors on its servers on Monday morning, disrupting some services on its trading platforms.
Samsung Securities said temporary problems at its servers delayed some services, which users said included placing buy and sell orders, as well as account balance inquiries, on its home and mobile trading systems.
The errors, which lasted about 20 minutes from 10:44 am, have reportedly been sequentially solved, industry sources said.
“We will take appropriate measures after checking individual cases,” said a Samsung Securities official when asked how the firm would address the customer inconvenience resulting from the issues.
