Samsung Asset Management Co. announced on Tuesday that the net asset value of its KODEX US S&P500 TR exchange-traded fund (ETF), which tracks the performance of the S&P 500—the leading index of the US stock market—has reached 1.016 trillion won ($750 million).
The KODEX US S&P500 TR is a total return (TR) product that reinvests dividends back into the index, rather than distributing them to investors. It is characterized by its precise and efficient index tracking.
"For domestic investors observing the long-term upward trend of the S&P 500, I recommend the KODEX US S&P500 TR ETF, which efficiently reinvests dividends automatically," said Lee Jun-jae, a manager at Samsung Asset Management.
"It is the optimal product for individual investors trading through general accounts, as it allows them to reinvest in the index without incurring withholding tax on ETF distributions," he added.
