Shinhan Financial Chairman to hold overseas IR in Japan
Shinhan Financial Group's Chairman Jin Ok-dong is set to embark on his first overseas business trip since taking office as chairman last month. From April 19 to 21. He will travel to Japan for a three-day business presentation and meet with officials from major Japanese financial institutions.

During his stay, Jin will visit the Japanese Financial Services Agency to discuss support measures for Shinhan Bank's Japanese subsidiary, SBJ. He plans to explore cooperation in various fields, including digital and environment, social, and governance (ESG), and discuss ways to enhance private exchanges between Korea and Japan with officials from Mizuho, SMBC, Nomura Securities, Daiwa Securities and the Bank of Japan.

In addition, the chairman will examine support for Korean startups looking to enter Japan and explore measures to foster Japanese startups through Shinhan Financial's startup nurturing platform, "Shinhan Futures Lab Japan."

"I will strive to invigorate private exchanges, such as investment and trade, between the two countries so that Korea and Japan can prosper together," Jin said.

This visit comes as Shinhan Financial Group aims to expand its presence in Japan and strengthen its partnerships with major Japanese financial institutions. As one of the largest financial groups in Korea, Shinhan Financial Group continues to prioritize international cooperation and the growth of the startup ecosystem.
