This collaboration is set to launch a membership service, connecting the purchase of new Toyota vehicles to LG Uplus's EV charging service Voltup.
The service will be available to customers purchasing the fifth-generation Prius Plug-in Hybrid to be launched this month. Members will enjoy the benefit of free charging for the first month, up to a value of 50,000 won ($37.90).
This initiative is an extension of a prior partnership formed in June 2022 between the two companies. In that collaboration, LG Uplus equipped Lexus and Toyota vehicles sold in South Korea with its comprehensive infotainment service platform U+Drive.
