Kia reveals exterior design of the new Carnival

Kia Corp., South Korea’s second-largest automaker, unveiled the new exterior design of its flagship large leisure vehicle Carnival on Friday.

This model is being introduced anew after three years to enhance the competitiveness of the Carnival, which was launched in August 2020.

The new Carnival, which embodies "modern boldness" as its concept, features a sophisticated and sporty exterior design that harmonizes robustness like a sports utility vehicle (SUV).

In the front, the vertical headlamps and "signature star map lighting" daytime running lamps (DRLs) create a futuristic image, and an elegant radiator grille with emphasized premium details has been applied.

The refined front design is completed with a simple yet refined design bumper and a sleek skid plate in the lower part. On the side, vertical headlamps and rear combination lamps harmoniously follow a straight character line. In the rear, the number plate location was moved downward, the exposed handle was removed, and a wide and clean tailgate was achieved.

The new Carnival is available in six exterior colors, including the new color Ivory Silver, as well as Snow White Pearl, Astra Blue, Aurora Black Pearl, Pantera Metal, and Ceramic Silver.

Kia plans to add a 1.6-liter turbo hybrid model to the new Carnival, operating three powertrain lineups in total, including gasoline, diesel, and hybrid.
