Kumho Tire signs official sponsorship deal with AC Milan

S.Korea’s tiremaker aims to enhance global brand awareness through renowned Italian Serie A club

South Korea's Kumho Tire Co. has signed a sponsorship agreement as the official tire partner with the prestigious Italian football club AC Milan.

Kumho Tire announced on Thursday that they recently held a partnership signing ceremony at Casa Milan, AC Milan's headquarters. The ceremony was attended by CEO of Kumho Tire Jung Il-Taik, CEO of AC Milan Giorgio Furlani. 

Through this partnership, Kumho Tire will officially sponsor AC Milan for five seasons, starting from the 2023/24 season until 2027/28. Founded in 1899, AC Milan is a prestigious football club that has won a total of 19 Serie A titles, including the 2021/2022 season, and has also claimed the UEFA Champions League title seven times, making it a representative club in Italy.

With this partnership, South Korean tiremaker will promote its brand to football fans worldwide through AC Milan's home matches in five different language versions. Kumho Tire brand will also be exposed through various branding and advertising activities on AC Milan's facilities, website and social media channels. Furthermore, it has secured the rights to carry out joint events and promotional activities with AC Milan, as well as the ability to directly communicate with AC Milan's strong global fan base.

In addition to AC Milan, Kumho has also established official global partnerships with other clubs such as Tottenham Hotspur in the UK, Bayer 04 Leverkusen in Germany and FK Mladá Boleslav in the Czech Republic. The company plans to strengthen its position as a premium brand by expanding marketing activities and investments to reach customers around the world.

"Through this partnership, we aim to enhance Kumho Tire's brand awareness in global markets, including Italy, and actively pursue various activities to elevate our brand's premium status," Jung said.
