S.Korea's Tada ride-hailing app introduces English service for foreigners

South Korean ride-hailing platform TADA, operated by VCNC, announced on Thursday the introduction of an English language service to its app, in a move designed to simplify the user experience for international customers.

With this new feature, foreign users can navigate all procedures, from hailing a ride to exiting the vehicle, all in English through the TADA app. Should the language setting on a user's mobile device be set to English, the TADA application will automatically switch to English upon access.

This English-language functionality extends to situations where the foreign user isn't hailing the taxi directly, but a friend or acquaintance uses the "call for me" feature on her behalf. The end user will receive English text messages detailing TADA vehicle deployment status or real-time location.

In response to the rising demand from foreign tourists utilizing services like the "call for me" or the "time-based rental" for airport transfers and exploring Seoul, TADA has timed the English service launch just ahead of the bustling summer vacation season.

"TADA's intuitive app interface, spacious vehicles, and now, the removal of the language barrier makes our service a highly appealing transport option for international users," said a TADA official.
