South Korea's Hyundai Motor Co. announced on Monday that its Elantra N TCR (known domestically as Avante N TCR) and i30 Fastback N Cup Car triumphed in the TCR class and VT2 class, respectively, at the Nürburgring 24 Hours in Germany held from May 20 to 21.
The Nürburgring 24 Hours Race punishes cars over a gruelling 25 km circuit, challenging them to drive as far as mechanically possible for 24 hours. This unforgiving track set deep in the forests of Germany is known as "The Green Hell."
A total of 131 vehicles participated in the competition, with 88 vehicles (67%) completing the grueling race. Hyundai Motor entered the event with two Elantra N TCRs and two i30 Fastback N Cup Cars.
The Elantra N TCR secured its third consecutive win in the TCR class, finishing 27th overall, while the i30 Fastback Cup Car emerged victorious in the VT2 class and achieved a 53rd-place finish overall.

"We are very pleased to achieve the results of the Elantra N TCR winning the TCR class for the third consecutive year, along with the 8th consecutive completion," head of Hyundai Motor's N Brand & Motorsport Business Division Till Wartenberg said. "We will continue to challenge ourselves to improve the technology of the high-performance N brand so that we can provide our customers with even more new driving experiences."
