Hyundai launches 2023 season of HMG Driving Experience Center

Hyundai Motor Group announced the commencement of the 2023 season for its HMG Driving Experience Center, which is the largest of its kind in South Korea, starting from March 25.

The center combines Hankook Technoring driving test site - with 1.2 million square meters - and a two-story, 10,223-square-meter customer-only building focused on driving experience facilities with advanced driving test tracks.

The 2023 season at the HMG Driving Experience Center features eight driving experience courses, including a braking course, a harsh dry surface circuit, a wet surface circuit, a 4.6-km high-speed circular track, a multi-purpose driving course that includes Gymkhana 1 and complex slalom experiences, a wet circular drift 3 course, a kick plate 4 course and Asia’s largest off-road course featuring slopes, gravel, sand, bumps and waterways for SUVs.

The center offers customers a comprehensive range of driving experiences and opportunities to engage with various Hyundai Motor Co., Kia Corp. and Genesis branded electric vehicles.

New electric vehicles, including the IONIQ 6 and EV6 GT, will be introduced alongside the existing GV60, enabling customers to experience a wider range of electric vehicles from the Hyundai Motor Group.

Additionally, the center will offer a Junior Driving Experience program for younger participants, providing mobility kit assembly and driving experiences with professional instructors.

According to a Hyundai Motor Group spokesperson, the HMG Driving Experience Center embodies the company's commitment to realizing the "possibility of future mobility" in customers’ daily lives. The 2023 season is expected to introduce new high-performance models, such as the EV6 GT, and provide more diverse programs catering to families, promoting and advancing South Korea’s automotive culture.

Since its official opening in Sept. 2022, the center has attracted approximately 5,600 visitors.
