Hyundai Motor Group made an announcement on Thursday, saying that its major vehicles had been selected as the best models at the 2023 Editor's Choice Awards published by Car and Driver, an American automobile magazine.
This year's Editor's Choice Awards saw a total of 23 Hyundai Motor Group models, including eight from Hyundai Motor Co., nine from Kia Corp. and six from Genesis, being named on the award list.
Notably, this is the highest award ever for the Hyundai Motor Group, and it highlights the group's commitment to providing high-quality cars to its customers.
By brand, Hyundai Motor's eight models, including Kona (subcompact SUV), Tucson (compact SUV), Palisade (midsize SUV), Santa Fe (midsize SUV), Santa Cruz (compact pickup truck), IONIQ 5 (electric SUV), Elantra N (Sports compact car) and Sonata (family sedan), were selected.

Meanwhile, Kia had nine models named on the award list, including Soul (subcompact SUV), Sportage (compact SUV), Sorento (midsize SUV), Telluride (midsize SUV), EV6 (electric SUV), Carnival (minivan), Rio (subcompact car), Niro Hybrid (subcompact SUV) and K5 (family sedan).
Genesis had six models selected for the award list, including GV60 (electric luxury SUV), GV70 (compact luxury SUV), GV80 (mid-size luxury SUV), G70 (entry-luxury car), G80 (mid-size luxury car) and G90 (full-size luxury car).
The Hyundai Motor Group's sales numbers also show that customers are responding positively to their commitment to quality. In 2022, the group sold 1,474,224 units in the US market. Moreover, in January this year, the company sold 107,889 units, which represents a 14.7% increase from the same period last year.
