Hyundai's four models selected among Car & Driver's best 10 Trucks & SUVs

Hyundai Motor Group said on Wednesday that Hyundai IONIQ5, Kia EV6, Kia Telluride, and Genesis GV70 were selected as the 2023 Best 10 Trucks & SUVs (sports utility vehicles) by the US auto magazine Car & Driver.

South Korea's auto giant said that this is the case where all three brands were awarded at the same time and the largest number of models were selected among global automotive groups.

Founded in 1955, Car & Driver is a world-renowned automobile magazine. Its editors strictly evaluate driving performance and vehicle value and select the best vehicles every year. 

The magazine reported the 2023 Best 10 Trucks & SUVs after a week of test-driving SUVs, trucks, and vans sold at a price of under $110,000 in North America.

The IONIQ5, which was named the 2022 EV of the Year winner by Car & Driver in August last year, was highly praised for its design, interior space, rapid charging system, and external power supply technology (V2L).

The EV6 was named the top 10 just a year after its launch in North America. Car & Driver recognized its single-charge driving distance, large indoor space, and various advanced specifications.

The magazine described Kia's North American strategic vehicle Telluride as a "Range Rover for the middle class." It picked the Telluride as one of the best 10 vehicles for four years from 2020.

GV70 was recognized for space for four adults, exemplary fit and finish, powerful engines, and big-box-store-worthy cargo space.

"This Genesis oozes luxury, and its undeniable desirability makes it a welcome addition to our 10 Best list," the magazine said.
