11 Hyundai Motor Group products receive US' Good Design Awards

Hyundai Motor Group on Wednesday said 11 of its products won honors at this year's Good Design Awards of the US.

The honors are jointly selected by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies.

Hyundai Motor Co.'s Trailer Drone and Seven concept car won in the transportation category and Plug and Drive Mobility, PnD L7 and Mobile Eccentric Droid in the robotics category.

Receiving kudos for its excellent designs, the carmaker claimed three of the robotics category's eight awards.

Kia Corp. won awards in the transportation category for its Niro and EV9 concept vehicles and the infotainment systems Magenta Design and EV (electric vehicle).

The Genesis won in the transportation category for the "ccIC" (connected car integrated cockpit) infotainment system installed in the G90. Since its inception as a brand in 2015, Genesis has received the award for eight consecutive years.
