Korea Investment & Securities Co. (KIS), the brokerage unit of Korea Investment Holdings Co., said on Wednesday it hosted its flagship investor relations event, KIS Night in New York 2025, the previous day, marking the second consecutive year the Seoul-based brokerage has independently staged the event in the US financial capital.
The gathering drew more than 150 senior figures from global investment institutions, including Goldman Sachs, the Carlyle Group and Stifel Financial Corp., as Korea Investment aims to strengthen its cross-border investor network and explore new opportunities for collaboration and capital deployment.
“This event is more than just a showcase — it’s about building lasting partnerships,” said Kim Sung-hwan, chief executive of Korea Investment, in his opening remarks. “Through deeper cooperation with global financial partners, we are positioning ourselves as a leading full-service investment house in Asia.”

The evening featured discussions on potential avenues for strategic expansion and co-investment across private credit, structured finance and asset management. The event underscores the firm’s ambition to integrate more fully into the global financial ecosystem.
REMARKABLE GROWTH STORY
Harvey M. Schwartz, CEO of the Carlyle Group and one of the keynote speakers, praised Korea Investment’s evolution on the international stage.
“Korea Investment & Securities is not just an exceptional partner; it is an organization driven by excellence and outcomes,” he said. “It is a privilege to be part of its remarkable growth story.”
Korea Investment has steadily expanded its global footprint in recent years.

In 2023 it set up SF Credit Partners, a joint venture in New York with American independent investment bank Stifel Financial, for acquisition finance and private equity loan businesses.
Korea Investment has also deepened its relationships with global asset managers such as Goldman Sachs and Carlyle. By co-developing investment products tailored for Korean investors with these firms, it has bolstered its wealth management platform.
The annual New York event highlights Korea Investment’s broader push to globalize its operations and work more closely with international capital markets amid intensifying competition at home.
