Hanatour unveils ChatGPT-based travel information service

Hanatour Service Inc. announced on Friday the introduction of its beta service, "Travel Information AI," on Friday. The service utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) search to deliver travel itineraries, product recommendations and local travel information.

Available on the Hanatour app, Travel Information AI is an AI chatbot service powered by OpenAI's ChatGPT. The company's objective is to fully launch the service prior to and during the peak summer season in August.

This comprehensive service provides users with interactive and everyday 24 hour access to a wide range of information essential for trip planning. It covers various aspects, including itineraries, product suggestions, real-time updates on local weather, restaurants and attractions.

"We have filtered the responses based on users' questions and domestic travel trends, rather than directly integrating the answers from the original ChatGPT," an official of Hanatour said.
