ESTsoft completes construction of studio dedicated to AI virtual humans

South Korea's application software developer ESTsoft Corp. said on Tuesday that it has built a dedicated studio in its headquarters in Seoul's Gangnam to collect video and audio data needed for the production of artificial intelligence (AI) virtual humans.

The company has installed three cameras capable of realizing 8K image quality, a high-end boom microphone, and a pin microphone in the studio, as well as professional sound equipment.

Lightings that can change colors and a device that enables chroma key shooting have also been in place.

ESTsoft has established its own network so that data taken in the studio can be transmitted to AI-related organizations such as software development and design departments.

"As we have the in-house studio needed for building hyper-advanced AI virtual humans, we will target the global market more aggressively beginning next year," ESTsoft CEO Jung Sang-won said.
