Jin Air to expand SE Asia, Oceania routes

South Korea's budget carrier Jin Air said on Friday that it will resume and expand its international flights for the upcoming winter season, focusing on Southeast Asia, where demand typically rises during the colder months.

The airline will restart operations on its routes to Clark, Philippines, and Vientiane, Laos, from October 27, with seven flights per week. These routes had been suspended until last month and March, respectively.

The Incheon-Nha Trang (Vietnam) and Incheon-Guam routes, which currently operate with seven weekly flights, will increase to 14 flights per week starting December 12 and 19, respectively.

The Incheon-Phu Quoc (Vietnam) route will begin operating larger aircraft to accommodate higher demand from December 1.

The Incheon-Sapporo (Japan) route will expand from seven to 13 weekly flights starting December 2 and will operate 11 flights per week from January 10 to March 3 next year.

Schedules for the Bohol (Philippines) and Takamatsu (Japan) routes have also been adjusted to offer passengers more flexibility in planning their trips.

In response to demand from the Busan and South Gyeongsang Province regions, Jin Air will increase international flights from Busan.

The Busan-Narita-Osaka route will double its frequency from seven to 14 weekly flights, the company said.
