Korean Air Lines Co. and Asiana Airlines Inc. have been selected for the 2024 World Airline Awards by UK-based aviation consultancy Skytrax on June 24.
This list includes both full-service and low-cost carriers. No South Korea's low-cost carriers were named.
Qatar Airways was awarded the top spot as the world's best airline.
Skytrax based its rankings on a survey conducted from September last year to last month, involving passengers from over 100 countries.
In previous years, Korean Air ranked 22nd in 2021, ninth in 2022, and 10th last year in the same survey.
Asiana Airlines placed 25th in 2021, 33rd in 2022, and 28th last year.
In Skytrax's World's Cleanest Airlines rankings this year, Asiana Airlines secured sixth place, and Korean Air was 10th.
