Korea Aerospace Industries Ltd. (KAI), the country’s sole military aircraft manufacturer, posted record revenue last year, boosted by the export of its light attack aircraft FA-50 to Poland.

KAI announced on Friday that its consolidated revenue last year was provisionally calculated at 3.8 trillion won ($2.9 billion), up 37% year over year.

Last year, operating profit and net profit were 247.5 billion won and 218 billion won, up 75% and 91%, year over year.

The delivery of 12 FA-50GF fighter jets to the Polish Air Force in the previous year contributed significantly to the 2023 performance.

While KAI has not publicly disclosed the amount, it's estimated in the market that the export revenue for the 12 FA-50GFs supplied to Poland last year is around $500 million.
