LG Electronics Inc. on Monday said it was named an "excellent business for independently resolving consumer complaints" by the Korea Consumer Agency.
The South Korean agency gave the company a high mark for its customer service, calling it ahead of other companies in actively resolving consumer difficulties.
“This was the result of listening to customer voices and resolving a range of difficulties from time to time,” a company source said.
LG Electronics is developing a variety of customer services led by its innovative "F.U.N. (First, Unique, New)" experience. A leading example is its recent "visiting service" for around 300 social welfare facilities across the country to inspect all of the company's home appliances.
Other services are customized for less fortunate members of society. A consultation service available in sign language allows customers with hearing or speech impairments to use products and services easily and conveniently, while another counseling service is exclusively for elderly customers, with the latter featuring "visible" and "slow talk" automated response services with large text buttons.
"We will continue to thoroughly see from the customer's perspective and listen to customer voices," said Jung Yeon-chae, vice president of LG Electronics' Customer Experience Innovation Division.
